Honest reasons, in order of importance.
1. My memory has a short TTL
I solve a problem, feel clever, and three months later I am Googling the same problem oh wait I should say, chatting with AI now a days. So documenting it down is cheaper than being clever twice.
2. SEO, obviously
A portfolio with no writing is a business card. Search engines like pages that have actual words on them, and I would like to be findable by something other than my own name.
Is this the main reason? No.
Is it a reason? Absolutely.
3. I want it on my own turf
Platforms come and go. A domain I own stays put. So the writing lives here, and I would rather own the pipes than rent them.
What about dev.to?
My older posts stay on dev.to exactly as they are.
New posts will land here first. Some will get cross-posted to dev.to afterwards, with this site marked as the original. This one will not, because "why I started a blog" is a post only my own site needs.
What to expect
- Short, practical posts: one problem, one solution.
- Frontend/Backend performance, full-stack architecture, and AI engineering.
- Honest notes, including the things that did not work.
That is it. Back to writing something useful.
